1955

In 1955 Darling Harbour is a working port. Railway lines fan out into a goods yard at the head of the bay, cargo wharves line both shores, and Pyrmont Bridge crosses at the top.

2005

By 2005 the goods yard has gone. In its place are exhibition halls, a park and gardens, and a tangle of elevated freeways. Pyrmont Bridge is still there, now for people on foot.

The rebuilt Darling Harbour opened in 1988.
